Description:
Serial #88904, 8mm Nambu, 4 1/2” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a Showa 18.9 dated pistol (September, 1943) that has matching numbers on all of the components, including the firing pin, locking block, both grips, and magazine. The metal retains 97-98% of the original blue finish with some silvering along the high edges, as well as the usual arcs on the left side from the safety switch, and a pair of negligible impact marks on the right side of the receiver. The smaller components of this late-war pistol retain a commensurate amount of their original blue as well. The grooved grips are likewise in excellent condition having only some minor handling marks on either panel. The pistol has the magazine retention spring and, as mentioned above, comes with a single matching magazine. Additionally, the pistol is housed in an original late-war rubberized canvas flap holster that is in nearly excellent condition, but does have a tattered and no longer functional closure tab. A second, non-matching magazine and takedown tool is included, as is the rubberized canvas shoulder strap. This is one of the best examples of a late-war Type 14 we have seen, and is in excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R
