Description:
Harrington & Richardson (Rare) "Single Action Sportsman", Caliber .22 LR, Serial Number S188XX.  This is a real scarce one.  For a very short period H&R manufactured a single shot target pistol using the revolver frame.  It was called the U.S.R.A model named for the national matches.  Later they decided, from I what understand, was to take the same trigger system and put it into the Single Action Sportsman.  Very few of these were ever made.  They are recognizable by the very straight rather than curved trigger of the regular Model 999.  The name "Single Action" is also etched on the barrel just below "H & R Sportsman".  Let me tell you, I took this honey to the range and it is a joy to shoot.  The gun is in an almost unfired condition.  The original blue is at least 97%.  The only loss is some slight graying on the front grip strap.  There is almost no muzzle or sharp edge silvering.  There is, as expected a faint hairline cylinder turn ring.  The font sight elevation and rear windage function flawlessly.  The gun locks up tight and indexes properly.  The early style walnut grips show no wear, chips, or splits.  The bore is gorgeous with sharp, bright rifling and like the rest of the gun showing almost no use.  It is awesome on the range or a beauty in a collection.      $895.
