A very fine British Pattern 1796 infantry officer's sword with a gilt-brass hilt, wire-wrapped grip, faceted pommel, blued-steel blade with gilt engravings. The blade measures about 30 3/4" long and the blued blade is in very good condition with color fading and covered with gold etched trophies . Blade marked GIBSON S. THOMPSON & CRALGS, the maker or military vendor. The blade is originally sharp. This model has the fold down shell guard. The grips area is about new with gulit wrapped wires. The condition is far above average. We don’t have asite .I prefer money orders or a check. Item ships when funds come in. If you can only pay with a card let me know.
