Marked on the lockplate with name and address and marked on the barrel with the W W Hackney name. The barrel is .45 caliber and 35 1/2" long. Slightly swamped it is 1.150 at the breech and 1.020" at the muzzle. The rear sight is buckhorn adjustabler for windage and elevation. The front sight is a gold blade adjustable for windage. The bore is very good with strong lands. The muzzle was made with a turned down step for a muzzle bullet starter which is with the rifle and is extremely rare. Brass buttplate and triggerguards. Double set triggers that work just fine. Original Tiger stripe Maple stock with 150 years of handling marks. The ramrod is a modern replacement. This rifle weighs 14 1/4 lbs and it can be used right now if you work up loads. It will also make a great addition to your collection.
