Description:
W.C. Scott 12 bore sidelock ejector. Retains original 2 5/8" chambers. The LOP is a solid 15" to the front trigger with a 1" leather capped recoil pad. The drop at the comb is 1 7/16" and at the heal is 2 9/16". Date of manufacture is 1924. It has a straight English stock and splinter fore end with Anson push button in true English style. It weighs 7.4lbs. It comes with snap caps. It has a Greener cross bolt and 3rd fastener as well as brushed strikers. It has a full filed rib that is well attached with barrels ringing like a bell. The barrels are 30" long with an ivory bead. The chokes are IC right and Lt Mod left. The proofs check out and are period correct. The bores and chambers are mint. The safety is automatic and the ejectors are in time. The action still retains much of the original case coloring and the barrels appear to retain the original blueing showing some handling wear, but no abuse, dents, or scrapes to the metal. The silver oval is engraved with initials EW w/o provinance. The barrels measure a minimum wall thickness of .028 R and .032 L.
