Description:
The Colt New Service 6-shot revolvers were made from 1898 to 1942, with approximately 356,000 manufactured, of which 122,800 were Commercial variations. There were many Military variations made in many different calibers. This is the 1909 Army Model, chambered in .45 LC and fitted with a 5 1/2 inch barrel and smooth wood grips. The gun retains approximately 60-70% of its original blue finish and the grips retain most of their original finish, with some minor handling marks. The screws are mostly un-molested, the bore is bright, with sharp rifling, and the action functions perfectly and has a tight lock-up. All stamps are crisp on the gun and grips.
