Description:
Cooper Firearms of Montana Model 7 Peregrine Varmint Extreme Falling Block Single Shot Rifle (ca. 2001) .17 Mach IV caliber w/ a 24" stainless steel heavy barrel (1" to .75" taper) w/ target crown, shapely beavertail style forearm highly figured and perfectly matched to the Exhibition grade French walnut stock w/ a 13.75" LOP over a Niedner style steel butt, 2-panel point checkering pattern grip w/ a steel Jerry Fisher two-screw grip cap, Turnbull case colored receiver, scope mounts and 1" Talley fixed rings, and a tang mounted safety. These guns are extremely rare, (only produced in 2001) and this is only the second or third one I've had in almost 20 years of being a Cooper Firearms dealer; I never actually got the guns I ordered new; just ones like this that I traded in to. I have heard number of less than 40 ever produced but I'm sure there are those of you out there that will know better than I do. Gun is 98% overall w/ no blemishes in wood or metal to speak of. Does not appear to have ever been shot, but that's hard to say. A rare gun w/ a smoking piece of wood and high condition! Weighs 7 lbs. 13 oz.
