Just in on a trade, this COP Pistol has an unusual story. Originally contracted by COP to the Bellmore Johnson Tool Co in Connecticut. and by the time the pistols were ready to ship COP in California was in bankruptcy, so not pistols were delivered. Some years later, Val Forgett of Navy Arms fame bought all the guns (somewhere under 5,000) from Bellmore Johnson. He then offered them to dealers very reasonably, and they sold quickly. QUITE A GUN! First it is solid stainless steel. Second it works very well. And third it shoots .38 Special just as well as .357 Magnum.
