This is a re-listing of this gun. I'm not an accomplished photographer but I hope these new pictures will do a better job of showing this attractive and honest gun.
This is a very handsome Sandhurst model, Avant Tout II, circa 1948.
The gun's case color and barrel blue could pass as original but nothing could possibly be as old as I am and still look this good. Whoever did the case color and blue for this gun did a perfect job. Absolutely sharp engraving, like new. No pits nor any sign of neglect or abuse. 95% re-black on barrels, 99% high quality re-case on receiver and trigger guard.
Perfectly tight lock up with no looseness, closed or open, with or without forend attached
Straight grip stock with extension and pad, repaired chip at the toe of the wood, a few dents on the forend.
Pull: 14 ¼ in. from front trigger (to end of pad), 12 ¾ in to end of wood.
Drop at comb: 1 7/16 in.
Drop at Heel: 2 in.
Wt: 6 ½ lbs.
Barrel length: 27 3/8 in. (27 ½ inches is standard for this model so the muzzle may have been taken down slightly.)
