Description:
This is a nice Colt Model 1860 Army Percussion Revolver. It is .44 caliber with an 8" barrel with a very good bore showing some light pitting. Serial number is #88555, Manufactured in 1863. Cylinder is marked, "COLTS PATENT No. 855"/PAT.SEPT 10th,1850".It has all matching numbers, except for un-numbered wedge. Has some light cylinder scene remaining. Marked 44CAL on left side of trigger guard. Has inspector's marks on trigger guard,and barrel and frame. Butt end is cut for shoulder stock. Action indexes properly and barrel to frame & cylinder have a tight lock-up. Metal is all Grey to blue patina. Walnut grips are also, very good showing some small losses on front edges.
