Item Description:
If you love Trapdoor Springfields, this Model 1888 is a must buy. The barrel has excellent rifling, a worn, but visible cartouche, and its original finish. There are some rust spots on the barrel (see pictures), but the stock and forearm have a beautiful, warm finish. Based on information from the trapdoorcollector, it appears this Model 1888 was manufactured in 1891.
