EXCEPTIONAL MOORE & HARRIS, LONDON PERCUSSION 10 BORE DOUBLE SHOTGUN CIRCA 1840’S. Serial number 5xxx engraved on the trigger guard tang. 32” browned Damascus barrels engraved on the rib “MOORE & HARRIS . LONDON. LAMINATED STEEL” and with double gold bands at the breech. Fine English scroll engraved locks and mounts with the lock plates and trigger guard also game scene engraved. Lock plates engraved “MOORE & HARRIS”. Case hardened locks, butt plate, trigger guard and breech. Walnut stock with checkered straight grip (14 ¼” pull). Shield form silver wrist escutcheon. Brilliant condition with nearly all the case hardening on the locks and much on the butt plate and trigger guard. Barrels with 95% plus of the original brown Damascus finish. Stock with all the original polish. Working order and mint bores. Superb condition and very high grade engraving.
