Description:
Colt 1851 Navy 4th model, .36 caliber 6 shot percussion revolver, 7 ½” bbl., serial number 109,XXX manufactured 1861. All matching serial numbers including wedge, barrel stamped, “ADDRESS COL. SAM COLT NY US AMERICA”, also marked with Colt’s Patent on frame. Barrel has a gray patina with traces of original finish a long with some light dings from use; cylinder is a dark gray patina with traces of cylinder scene still visible. Walnut grips are in good shape with the exception of two cutouts on bottom, (possibly for a lanyard). Action is crisp with good timing.
