Description:
This is a new Winchester Model 70 Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation in .300 Winchester Magnum with a 26” barrel. Premium looks combine with power and accuracy to make Winchester's Model 70 Sporter RMEF the ultimate rifle for the elk hunter. The satin-finish, Grade-I walnut stock has a raised cheekpiece and cut checkering, and is complemented with a jeweled bolt body and RMEF medallion embedded in the grip. A Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad minimizes kick for confident, comfortable shooting. The claw extractor offers controlled-round feeding so the cartridge may be easily withdrawn from the chamber at any point after it leaves the magazine. Cartridge feed lips are part of the receiver for improved reliability. The classic three-position safety offers safe and fire positions, plus a middle position that locks the firing pin yet still allows the bolt to be operated. The free-floating polished, blued barrel features a recessed-target crown to protect the rifling.
