Description:
Serial #1120, .22 Short, 10" part octagon barrel with a very good bore that has some patches of mild freckling along its length. This pistol has an overall plum-brown patina on the barrel with some bright original blue visible towards the breech under mild freckling that carries over onto the frame which also has traces of the original color case-hardening still visible around the hammer and breechblock hinge pins on either side. The breechblock and trigger likewise retain some of their original bright blue finish while the hammer has traces of original straw color remaining on protected areas. The original rifle style rear sight is still present but the front sight base may be original with an added blade that is not secured in place. The walnut forend and grip are in very good-fine condition with scattered small handling marks and bruises throughout as well as some wear to the original varnish. The action is as tight as a drum and the pistol functions flawlessly. This is a very nice rolling block pistol in about fine condition and would make a great addition to any collection. Antique
