Description:
Very nice old Colt SA, 45, w/ 7 1/2" barrel. Serial number 63212. Mostly gray with some original blue in protected areas (cyl flutes), hint of case color. Minor pitting on ejector housing plus normal wear and tear. Original Colt Historical Letter, gun shipped to St. Louis in 1881 and confirming the configuration. Pioneers were still heading west out of St. Louis so this old Colt could have been involved in range wars and Indian raids. All the numbers match although weak on the cylinder and on the back of the wood grips; all the marking are good and clear incl. 45cal on trigger guard bow (top line of the patent dates in weak). Grips are worn & a little shrinkage with age but fit well (no varish remaining). Bore is good. The action is correct and very tight. I have shot this gun with Cowboy loads. The gun seems have all ot it's original components save for some screws and mainspring. Please ask questions or more pic's. No FFL/C&R needed; pre 1897. Sorry no credit cards.  3 day inspection and may return, if not satisfied for 90% of sale price. Buyer pays all shipping. Soon these old early Colt's, in original condition, will not be available any more; great investment opportunity.
