This revolver has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, latch, and barrel with the metal retaining about 85-90% of the original nickel finish that has mild freckling along the barrel and frame as well as within the cylinder flutes. The hammer retains about 50% of the original color case-hardening with the balance turned to a mottled pewter gray patina with light freckling. The checkered hard rubber “S&W” grips are numbered to the gun and are in very good-near fine shape with very little flattening of the points or edges, and a single short crack at the top of the left hand panel. The lock-up is still tight and the action functions flawlessly. This is a great little “Baby Russian” in very good plus condition and would make a very nice addition to a collection.
