Description:
Very rare A.H.Fox 12ga Sterlingworth trap.Built in 1927 according to the factory letter,this gun has 32"barrels choked full (.042") and full (.043").It has 3" chambers that appear to be factory original.The factory letter does not mention the chamber length,but by 1927 Fox was offering 3" chambers.It has a pistol grip stock,double triggers,splinter forend,and extractors.The gun retains 70% of the original case colors and 98% of the original barrel blue and 98% of the original wood finish.The bores are bright with no dents,rust,or pits.The stock is sound with no cracks,gouges,or damage.The stock dimensions are 141/4" LOP over the bakelite buttplate,11/2" at comb,23/4" at heel.The gun weighs 7-8.A rare and very collectable Fox in all original condition.It would also make a great turkey gun or duck gun with Bismuth shot.C&R eligible.
