Mauser P-08 (42) Dated 1939 with Capture Papers, Caliber 9 mm, Serial Number 55XX u.
This is an early wartime gun about 92-3% of the original factory finish. The loss is the usual muzzle, side plate and sharp edge silvering. Additionally, they are two small areas of light surface pinpricks. One the right of the rear toggle block and some lightly scattered on the left side of the barrel. The grip straps. Show just the vaguest graying. The frame is stamped Eagle/65, Eagle/65, and Eagle Swastika. The barrel is stamped Eagle/Swastika. All numbers match except for the correct aluminum based magazine. The walnut grips appear to be perfect with no chips or splits and maybe a just a point or two flattened. The bore is super. Very sharp and bright with the merest hint of graying. Besides the magazine, the gun is accompanied by the original official capture papers. A really great package for the historical collector.
