Description:
Recently built half stock 50 cal rifle built in the style of an old original from Philippi.WV. Stock architecture was copied from original,the barrel,lock ,under rib,pipes,r rod are new.Barrel is colerain 50 x 36 x 15/16. 1-56 twist?
The lock is new L&R percussion with bridle,fly in tumbler to operate safely as it should.Triggers are single set,rear must be set to fire gun.but not necessary to place lock in half cock...Buttplate,toe,trig guard are 1850s vintage also.Stock is curly maple poured nose cap in Sam Sherwood style,as is the lock moulding.
This rifle should be checked out by a competent gunsmith skilled in these type guns,
you must be of legal age and eligible under current laws to own this gun.No FFL is usually required.Subject to all local and state laws
