Description:
This is an inert, one-piece, U.M.C.-made dummy 75mm round that weighs 19 lbs. 8 oz. (8.8 Kg), and measures 26 1/4" (66.7 cm) in length. The metal has developed a mottled, dark ochre-yellow patina throughout while the inert “fuze" retains most of the original light blue painted finish. The base is marked: “DRILL CARTRIDGE M16/75 MM GUN M1897 M1916 & M1917/UMC 1944 CJI". This is a great piece of World War II artillery memorabilia and would make a great item for display.
