The bright blade shows a few small stains, with evidence of sharpening and a few nicks in e4dge. The brass guard, rivets and pommel cap wear a nice dark patina. Grips show scratches and a couple chips in finger ridges. Scabbard is stamped "Rock Island/Arsenal/1911/ H.E.K." with a small "10" below and J.H.S. lightly stamped near tip. Scabbard has blued steel clip with nickel finished throat. A large five inch cut from the blade being inserted crooked runs down back of sheath. Otherwise leather is strong with tight seams. The blued belt hanger retains 50% blue with oxidation stains. A very nice example of this classic American service knife. SOLD Manufacturer: U.S. Model: Knife |
