This is the Holy Grail of a very very Rare Ballester Molina trainer model 1911 converted for military police . to 22 caliber.
the action is crisp works perfectly.the feel of this pistol is a cross between a belguim HP and a colt 1911
weighs in at 42.7 oz. the finish is about 90% original with some holster ear comes with one magazine,,,,,wood straight line grip are perfect.......also note this was improted by Gibbs rifle co of martinensburg WV. Still these are ver very scarce....... you can find 45s and 9mm but not a 22 caliber.It was brought to my attention the geman ship Spey was scuttled in world war 2 by the british and Argentina used the metal to make the Ballester. Molina guns. just an interesting little peice of history there.
this would be similar to the Colt ace 1911 22 caliber......I would think only a hand ful of these ever produced . There just isnt any around at least i have not seen them..........this has B prefix in serial # so would fall in line with british contract. This was in a collectors stash put a way in the back of his safe he passed away and i purchased the entire collection from the son.
