Otto Reif Suhl 3 Barrel Shotgun Set

- Outstanding condition
- Barrel 1 is 30 1/2" length double with matte concave wide rib reads Otto Reif Suhl, engraving at receiver, all proper proof marks as shown in photo, also says "Special Gewehr Lauf Stahl" and "Fried Krupp A.G. Essen" on each barrel, integrated sling swivel, ivory bead sight, and bluing is 98%+
- Barrel 2 is 31 7/8" length double with same markings and is missing the ivory front bead, bluing is 98%+
- Barrel 3 is also 31 7/8" length with same markings as above and has Ivory front bead sight, and bluing is 98%+
- Beautiful stock has raised cheek and very detailed engraved pistol grip.
- Splinter forend also highly engraved and in excellent condition
- Receiver is fully engraved with platinum animals in game scenes on both sides of receiver and bottom
- Right side has fox and water fowl scene, left side has a buck and dow scene with water fowl flying off, bottom has rabbit
- Double triggers in fully engraved trigger guard
- Otto Reif was known as one of the world's greatest gunsmiths
- He was sought after by the Kaiser and Nazi hunters for their shotguns before he fled to West Berlin
- He was even employed to make the finest shotgun for Generalissimo Stalin's birthday in 1949. It is not sure if Stalin ever took possession of the gun or if Otto was paid as Russian officials tried to take possession of gun and not pay
- His guns are in museums in Beijing, China and Munich
