LARGE JAPANESE MATCHLOCK PISTOL WITH DRAGON ENGRAVED BARREL CIRCA 1800. 22” overall with 13” octagon .52 caliber smoothbore barrel beautifully engraved with a dragon for almost it’s entire length. Finest quality deep engraving with almost a three dimensional effect. Block front and rear Japanese style sights. Fruit wood stock with brass lock and mounts. Excellent plus and all original. Has all the original stock finish and even has 50% plus original blue-black on the barrel. Working order and excellent bore. Exceptional and a fine large size example.
