This is an opportunity for the collector or re-enactor to acquire a beautiful Enfield Sniper. This is a correctly stamped. Holland and Holland assembled. The bolt and the receiver serial numbers match. The receiver is marked 47 C, 1945, S331XX. It has the following "Sniper" marks. The stock has the correct "S 51" stamp and the wristband also is marked with a large "T" and a smaller R below slightly. The gun appears to retain about 96+% of the Arsenal Parkerizing. The wood stock, handguards and cheek piece about 95% of the original lacquer. There are several small surface dings but no splits or cracks. The stock also has the correct sniper sling swivel in front of the trigger guard. The Scope which is very clear and bright is marked TEL SIGHTING, No.32 Mk II, No 14808, OS.1650 A, 1944 . The mount is marked 13S4216.The scope clamps are consecutively numbered 536/536 and 537/537. The scopes retains about 85-90% of the original black paint. The sharp edges of the brass parts is where the paint has worn thru. The scope is very bright ad clear and the cross hairs are in super condition. The bore is very bright with crisp sharp and rifling. This original sniper rig would make an outstanding re-enactor addition to a collection or a killer on the range. Considered by many experts to be the best sniper of WWII. Very reasonably priced at.
