Webley Fosbery, Rare webley Fosbery 71/2 " Target model, Original Blue finish, Mechanically perfect. Minty Bore and cylinder. Great original hard rubber grips in perfect condition. This is a semi automatic revolver. A rare piece to find for sale. Its in excellent condition with a lot of Original blue, some thinning blue on the front strap and back strap.It locks up very tight and as you can see in great condition.Everything about the gun is excellent . The target sights are nice and the hammer has its half cock notch and full cock.It functions as it should and is tight. A example of the gun used in the movie The Maltese Falcon. The back strap has a name engraved on it . A.J.Galsworthy somerset .L. I. Thats Arthur John Galsworthy British unit of the Light Infantry. Also his life is a model in a british novel. The Gun was sold to him by the ANCSL (Army Navy csl store) May 31st 1915. An Interesting person to research further. The words Webley Fosbery are absent on the barrel . This is probably because this gun could have been a special order gun built to his specks?The gun, the cylinder, the barrel are all serial numbered the same which makes it a correct gun.The proofs are present also on all parts.All in all it's a exceptional condition Fosbery with some history.
