Item Description
This listing is for the exact shotgun in the photos the Maverick model 88 All Purpose Pump Shotgun chambered in 20 gauge. Manufacturer is Maverick Arms of Eagle Pass, Texas, a Mossberg affiliate, with the best service in the firearms industry. Type is pump or slide action shotgun. Construction is steel barrel, bolt, and internal parts including twin blue steel slide arms, all in a lightweight alloy receiver. Stock and forend are high impact black synthetic, with a buttstock length of pull that measures 13 3/4 inches from the smooth trigger face to the end of the 1 inch thick black factory recoil pad. The only difference we see between this Maverick 88 and the classic Mossberg 500 is the safety on the side of the polymer housed trigger group, instead of the 500’s top tang safety. Barrel is 26 inch, 11 post .370 serrated Vent Rib with front bead sight. Barrel is furnished with a .600 diameter 20 gauge
"Modified" that will interchange with Winchester Winchoke and old style Browning Invector® tubes. Chambering is 20 gauge for 2 3/4 inch or 3 inch shells interchangeably.
