Description:
A Marlin pump action rifle with an octagonal barrel of 24", and a super clean shiny rifled bore. The action works well and the American walnut stocks are very good with no issues, and has the original hard rubber factory Marlin crescent butt-plate. The barrel has about all it's blue, and the frame has a more subdued almost flat blue/black color. I suspect it may have been factory refinished? as at the end of the top tang there is a star stamped, and I've never seen that. the stamping is under the blue, not on top.SN 1874, and the :MARLIN MOD. 38 stamping is a little light in the registration. This unusual model has a top round protrusion safety that is pushed down and when ready to fire the lever behind the trigger guard is used to remove safe mode. The top rang also has a long knurled what looks like a safety but I'm not sure what it for since the movement is b=very slight forward and back! Come with both front and rear sights. Last parent date is 1922.Along the barrel length is some freckling from storage. A very clean much better than average. A fancy rig ready to go! We don’t have asite .I prefer money orders or a check.
