An opportunity to acquire a hard to find American made single shot .22 cal.LR pistol manufactured by Sheridan Products, Inc..This is the " Knockabout/Model D". The grips and blueing are all in about 98% condition. These pistols were made between 1953 and 1960. The bore is bright and shiney and the rifling is sharp. This weapon has seen little use so far in its 55+ years of life. The action is strong and the barrel pop-up function to (load a bullet) works properly. The barrel itself has a dull blue finish and shows some minor wear at the muzzle, mostly on the left side. The serial # is : 07570. The left side of the frame is marked ": Sheridan Products, Inc. Racine, Wisconsin, U.S.A.". And below that is stamped "Made in U.S.A." The sights are fixed.
A nice little pistol to take on a fishing or camping trip. Also a good and safer way to introduce a youngster to the shooting sport.
