Description:
C.Sharps Model 1-C Pepperbox Pocket Pistol - Cal. .22 RF - 2 1/2" Bbl. - SN 24XXX(late 1860s-early 1870s) - all matching numbers. All 4 barrels are about perfect - bright with sharp rifling - action is perfect - tight lock-up. Metal is excellent overall - barrels have 95% original blue remaining - a couple of very light suface rust showing on right side of barrels - brass frame has a nice mellow tone - markings are a little light but clear and visible on both sides of the frame. Rosewood grips are undamaged and retain 99% finish. The Sharps pepperbox was a very popular little pocket pistol in the 1860s and 1870s and although many were produced, very few have survived the years in working order. This 1-C is all original, in perfect working order, and is in Excellent ++ condition - an outstanding representative of the early C. Sharps and will make a fine collectible !
