Unfired condition is what this gun appears to be. There is a very small patch of light pinpricks on the right front of the muzzle, a couple on the left and a few almost unnoticeable flakes on the right side of the frame. Add to that some negligible edge silvering. Overall it is a truly 97-98% original finish gun. The cylinder, recoil shield and force cone show no use. The grip straps show no graying. There is the usual hairline drag ring but it scarcely shows thru the blue. The lanyard ring does show some toning but that is to be expected from this holster queen. The case colored trigger and hammer are also at least 98-99%. The walnut grips retain almost all the original factory lacquer. There are no chips or cracks anywhere and the grip screw is unmarred. The bottom of the grip and barrel have the proper U.S. property marks. The frame is correctly stamped, Col. Gilbert H. Stewart. The bore is super, sharp and with just a hint of graying. This is a right gun in really great condition. The gun comes with one correct U.S. Cavalry Holster, stamped G. & K. /1917 /A.R. The condition of which is excellent. It still retains the leather lanyard plug on the bottom usually missing. $2095.
