Description:
Very rare Winchester model 54 Target in 22 Hornet.Built in 1936,this rifle retains 95% of the original blue finish and 95% of the original wood finish.The wood is outstanding with a tiger stripe effect and dark honey gold color.The 24" heavy barrel has a mint bore.The rear bridge has not been tapped.The rifle retains the original steel buttplate,sling swivels,and front sight cover.The bolt has been altered to accomodate a scope.Otherwise,this is an all original gun.Very few model 54 targets were built,and very few of them were chambered in 22 Hornet.This is an outstanding addition to any Winchester collection.C&R eligible.
