Description:
S# 240, 303 British, 28 inch barrel, good bore with strong rifling and lightly frosted grooves. These rifles were built from 1905 to 1910. This one remains in very good condition with 70% case colors on bolt, grey receiver and 70% blue on exposed barrel. Stock remains sound with typical marks from service use and has many stampings on right side of butt and inside pistol grip. Trigger guard and barrel bands show traces of blue with a mostly brown patina. We have fired this rifle, it still shoots 2 1/2 inch groups at 50 yards. FFL or C+R
