Description:
Serial #714249, 7.63mm Mauser, 3 7/8” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a non-import marked pistol that has matching numbered parts, and retains 90-92% of the original blue finish that has worn to gray at the muzzle, along some of the exposed edges and projections, and has spots of smooth gray along the left side where a caustic substance splashed and removed the bluing leaving smooth gray metal wherever it came in contact. The hammer and bolt are still a bright gray with some minor freckling and some of the original bright fire blue remains on the bolt stop, the rear sight slider, trigger, and extractor. The 22 groove walnut grips are original to the pistol and are numbered to the gun on the interior of both panels. The wood has a nice original oil finish with scattered minor handling marks and small blemishes, but still rate very good-fine overall. The lock-up is tight and the mechanism is fully functional. Included with the pistol is a period-made Mauser holster/stock (not matching numbered) that has some with-the-grain cracks along the bottom running up from the door and also exhibits numerous small handling marks and blemishes. This is a very nice Mauser Bolo Broomhandle that is in very good plus-near fine condition and would make a great addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
