Description:
Serial #1439, .52 RF, 22” barrel with a very good bore that has some light freckling and pitting along its length. This carbine has an overall dark plum-brown patina with some mild fading at the muzzle as well as along a few of the high edges and projections and spots and specks of freckling along the barrel and breech-piece. The brass furniture has a dark yellow-ochre patina with further freckling and minor pitting on the sling bar and ring. Some impact marks are present on the rear face of the breech-piece and some minor deformation of the hammer nose. The walnut stock has numerous minor handling marks and small blemishes with some large bruises on the right side of the wrist as well as some minor surface chips on the right side just below the breech-piece handle. The action is still quite tight and fully functional and the carbine itself is in very good plus-near fine condition overall. Antique
