Description:
Serial #6643, .32 RF, 6” octagon barrel with a very good bore that has light freckling within the grooves. This Civil War era revolver has an overall mottled gray-brown patina on the barrel and 7-shot cylinder mixing with plum-brown freckling and some pinprick pitting on the sides of the barrel at the breech. The brass frame, which has extensive New York scroll engraving, retains about 25% of the original nickel finish and has a medium, yellow-ochre patina on the balance. The walnut grip is in good plus condition retaining a dark brown oil finish, but does have some small handling marks and moderate wear to the flare at the butt. The ejector rod is missing, but the mechanism is tight and fully functional. This is a nice looking example of a secondary Civil War revolver and is in good plus-very good condition. Antique
