Those interested in long range shooting, or in the finest waterfowler of yesterday or today, likely know of the Ansley H. Fox "SUPER FOX", the most capable long range gun made in America, or maybe in the world! There is a strong interest in these guns, made so by famous outdoor writer Nash Buckingham in the late 1920's and the following decades. This gun, sn28331 built in 1923 comes with factory documentation showing it shipped with the original Fox/Kautzky Single Selective trigger (great for gloved hands and cold weather!) and 32" barrels choked F/F. The chambers, bore diameters, and chokes are factory correct. At some point a second set of HE Super Fox barrels were added to the gun choked M/M with their own forend, and factory marked set number 2. I surmise that they were ordered for shooting ducks and geese over decoys, as the F/F chokes were strictly for long range work. This is a unique opportunity to find a Super Fox with mirror bores on both sets of barrels, 70% factory case color, a second set of barrels that are very useful (can still shoot heavy 3" loads through them for closer shooting over decoys), all cased in a custom fitted case with label and accessories. The HE Fox has enjoyed enthusiastic growth in value and will continue to do so with only a few hundred in existence, and few in this kind of original factory condition.
