Tony Galazan has produced many true masterpieces in his Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing facility. His faithful reproduction of Ansley H. Fox’s fine shotguns are no exception, and his “EXHIBITION” quality renditions far exceed anything old Ansley H. Fox ever contemplated. With over-the-top engraving and gold inlays, masterful wood carvings and checkering patterns, and state-of-the-art materials, Galazan has brought us this fantastic.410 bore double on a properly scaled frame. This is one of the most exquisite little Fox guns I have ever seen from CSMC, with stunning deep relief vine and foliate engraving by WORLD CLASS ENGRAVER PAUL LANTUCH. Google his name and you will find he is one of the most accomplished artist/engravers on the planet. The pierced trigger guard bow and top lever take this gun beyond comparison of what is available on the market today, leading right in to the fantastic skeleton butt plate with the same engraving. The raised gold inlays are heavy and detailed, with lots of gold wire and accents, including a barrel band of gold at the muzzles. Study the photos on our and you will be amazed at the depth and quality of the engraving. The wood carvings follow the theme of the engraving, on fully burled exhibition grade Turkish Circassian walnut, none finer. This Fox is made to shoot, for those so inclined, as it is balanced dead on the hinge pin and weighs 5lbs. 13oz., has great shooting dimensions, and is field choked M/F. What a great little quail gun or a challenging clay target gun. Of course, to order one similar from CSMC today would cost nearly double our price, and the gun is as new in the maker's case. This is an investment quality example of gun maker's art, a true collector's piece representing the finest in American gun making.
