Description:
This is a London-made peaked cap with yellow heavy felt band, navy blue felt crown and emroidered bullion R.C.M.P. badge at the front. The black patent leather peak, with embroidered wire edge trim, and chinstrap are only slightly crazed and are otherwise in excellent shape, as are the brass side buttons. The interior of the cap has a thin brown leather comfort band (with embossed maker's label on the left side: “BATE'S/Hatter/21 Jermyn Street/St. James's/LONDON”), discolored transparent sweat shield, sewn-in paper BATE'S label, and a previous owner's handwritten name tape: “E. HERZOG”. This is a high quality, and authentic R.C.M.P. uniform item, in fine condition, that would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
