WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 LEVER ACTION .40-82 WCF CAL. RIFLE CA. 1888. 26” round barrel and full length magazine tube. Original Winchester elevator rear and nickel post front sights. Barrel with early “MANUFACTURED BY THE/WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A.”two line address. Standard grade stock and forend with crescent form steel butt plate. 100% original and very good overall. Traces of original blue on the barrel and tube. Very crisp metal. Frame turned to a dark patina with layer of olf dried grease. Stock and forend very good and not refinished. Right side of the stock has had the varnish removed with a solvent but is not sanded. Wood generally very nice and easily restored. Excellent working order and extra nice bore.
