SPRINGFIELD U.S. MODEL 1884 TRAPDOOR .45-70 CAL. INFANTRY RIFLE. All original and complete as issued in the 4xx,xxx serial range. Very good plus to fine with 50-60% original blue with even patina. Stock in good condition with moderate use and a carved “R” on the butt but has a partially visible cartouche. Lock stamped “EAGLE/U.S./SPRINGFIELD and barrel with “V/P/EAGLE HEAD” proofs. Perfect working order. Very good bore with a minor ring near muzzle. Extra sharp rifling. Original as issued Buffington rear sight. Original ramrod. Nice original Trapdoor.
