- Note: This is an original, late 1944 production Colt 1911 A1 in a strong 90% condition. The only real apology on the gun is the bore of the Colt stamped barrel is frosted ahead of the chamber although the bore is shiny and the lands and grooves are strong. There is some light wear on the high points at the muzzle and leading edge of the frame where the gun has been holstered. The GHD (Guy H. Drewry 6/42-7/45) inspection stamp is correct. The frame and slide proofs match. The grips are the correct Colt Wood grips with reinforcements. The magazine appears to be a General Shaver Devision of Remington Rand magazine judging by the characteristic fold and weld points.
