This is a very attractive Colt 1851 Navy Third Model known for small trigger guard... The action on this pistol works properly and locks up tight. All number match. Except the wedge, the rammer has been replaced. The grips ok, the numbers and the letters are clear and easy to read. The cylinder is original but the serial number has been worn off. The bore 30-40% of the rifling and some corrosion in the bore. This a clean, attractive original pistol for the collector or shooter (it should be checked by a gunsmith before shooting).
