Here is a classic Colt THUNDERER It differs from the Lightning only in the fact of the caliber which is much scarce 41 rather than the less powerful 38. A famous outlaw of the Old West claimed the 41 Thunderer as his favorite sidearm. That man was Billy Bonnie – better known – as ‘Billy the Kid’. This example of the scarce 41 caliber is completely original in finish. The bore is as good as it gets and it still has a generous percentage of original finish of blue and case. Markings are all crisp and the cycling and indexing function is perfect. A nice extra feature are the genuine mother of pearl grips. The pictures tell tell story. Not cosmetically perfect but a much much better than average condition addition to any Colt 1877 collection. Original Thunderers ar e getting very hard to find.
