EXCELLENT SPRINGFIELD U.S. MODEL 1884 TRAP DOOR .45-70 RIFLE CIRCA 1889. 100% original with 95% plus blue and 80% case hardening. Stock with all the original finish and with only minor storage dings and small “X” stamped on the left side of the butt stock. No replaced parts or upgrades and serial number correlates to year of the mint “SWP/1889” cartouche. Mint bore and little used. Superior example and dates to the late Indian Wars and the Battle of Wounded Knee.
