Description:
This twelve inch knife has a seven inch blade with three inch false edge. Ricasso is stamped "S". The blade has been sharpened and shows evidence of a light cleaning with some oxidation stains. The crossguard wears a very small proof mark. The dark wood grips are attached with 3 steel rivets and rate very good with small chip by center rivet and small crack by rear rivet, both on reverse. The scabbard is mrked V&N by the mouth for Vogel & Noot, and is gun metal grey with oxidation stains and several small dents. The original leather belt strap shows light drying cracks and traces of original color. A well used example of this WWI trench knife.
