Description:
DWM P08, 9mm, 4”barrel- This is a 1920 double dated DWM P08 Police luger. The pistol was originally made in 1920 and the second 1920 is the Reichswehr property stamp indicating that the pistol was accepted by the Weimar Republic to be used for police or military use. Several Eagle/ArA4 acceptance marks are stamped on the pistol and a sear safety was installed by the police. The pistol has strong blued and straw finish with a bright bore and sharp rifling. The finish on back and front straps is excellent. Pistol has all matching original parts except for the S/42 marked replacement left grip. Both of the magazines, the takedown tool, and the holster are numbered to the pistol. Magazine #1 was made by Simpson and magazine #2 was made by Haenel. The holster is made by A. Fischner Berlin and dated 1933. The holster also has tape on the back side bearing the handwritten script Captain McFarland phone 1578
