Payment Types Accepted: Credit Card, Cashiers Check Description: This is an early combination knife pistol made by James Rogers before he partnered up with Unwin. The German silver barrel has two British proofs stamped on the upper left flat. The name J Jones is inscribed on the backstrap. The 3 1/4 inch blade and 2 1/4 inch blade are marked "JAMES/RODGERS/SHEFFIELD" on the left ricasso. The pistol and knives are enclosed in a German silver casing with stag scales secured by rivets. The back strap has a compartment for caps and there are tools on the sides near the butt; a pair of German silver tongs and a bullet mold are included. The condition of this piece is fine. Most of the German silver remains. The iron components have a mottled gray patina with some mild pitting on the blades. The scales are made of horn with an attractive color and are very fine with a couple small hairline stress cracks. SOLD Antique: Yes |
