Browning Superposed Lightning Diana Grade - Special ordered Factory original 2 Barrel Set in Hartmann Case. This Diana was special ordered with the original semi beavertail fore-ends. It was owned by Adolphus Busch III from Anheuser-Busch/ Budweiser of St. Louis, MO. It was designed for all around competition shooting. The 30" barrel set for trapshooting and the 26-1/2" set for five stand and Sporting Clays.
CONDITION - Beautiful near New Classic High Grade Diana Shotgun. Oustanding Walnut Stock and both Fore-ends. No dents, dings, scratches or damage to the wood or metal. The opening lever is far to the right with both sets of barrels. Chambers and bores are clean and bright as new.
FEATURES - 12 ga. 2-3/4" Chambers, Lightning model, Narrow vent ribs on each barrel set. Each set has a seperate fore-end that matches the stock in grain and color very well. Set #1 - 30" narrow vent rib barrels choked full & imp. mod. This set has a genuine Ivory front bead with a middle ivory bead. Set #2 - 26-1/2" narrow vent rib barrels choked mod. & imp. cyl. This Superposed has the long tang trigger guard with a square shape grip. Serial # is 51XXX S6 1966 Belgium manufacture.
Absolutely 100% no salt cured wood.
Fantastic High Grade Walnut used in all 3 pieces having outstanding grain patterns and varied colors. This Diana was engraved by R. (Rene) Dewil with great detail and depth. The detailed birds and animal figures look as they should along with the background and border engraving which is deep.
This Browning Diana is cased in a Hartmann 2 barrel case that is in good condition. It includes a key and the original Superposed booklet. Make this "Bud for you".
